Canon EOS R10 vs R50
Two APS-C RF-mount bodies with the same 24.2MP sensor, DIGIC X processor, Dual Pixel CMOS AF II subject detection, 0.39-inch 2.36M-dot finder, pop-up flash and LP-E17 battery; neither has in-body stabilization. The 2022 EOS R10 is the action body: 15 fps mechanical and 23 fps electronic bursts, a 1/16000 s electronic shutter, cropped 4K/60p and a UHS-II slot. The 2023 EOS R50 is the smaller first camera: about 375 g, a 1.62M-dot screen and more shots per charge in Canon Europe's figures.

Who should buy which
Buy the EOS R10 if…
- You shoot sport, birds or kids on the move: about 15 fps mechanical and 23 fps electronic bursts.
- You want a 4K/60p mode (cropped) and an electronic shutter to 1/16000 s.
- You want a faster UHS-II card slot for long bursts.
Buy the EOS R50 if…
- It is your first interchangeable-lens camera and size matters: about 375 g with battery and card.
- You frame on the screen a lot: the R50 has a 1.62M-dot touchscreen.
- You want more shots per charge: about 440 (LCD) / 310 (viewfinder) in Canon Europe's power-saving figures.
Same sensor, processor and autofocus system, so the choice is speed and a UHS-II slot against a smaller, lighter body with a sharper screen. Battery figures are Canon Europe's CIPA numbers in power-saving mode on both sides. See our full EOS R10 and EOS R50 guides, or all comparisons.
