Leica reissues the Summicron-M 66mm f/2, limited to 660 units
This is a civilian remake of Dr Walter Mandler’s late-1960s Elcan 66mm f/2, built for the US Navy. About 200 originals were made, and they never sat in a normal M shop. The Classic Line run is 660, with a reverse aperture ring and a military-style distance scale, on sale from 3 September 2026.

Canon EOS R8 Mark II (Rumor): mid-September talk, IBIS, around $1800
The rumor is IBIS on the small full-frame body, around 15 September, at about $1,800. Talk of 32.5 megapixels and dual SD cards has already been walked back toward 24 megapixels and one card. Canon has not announced a Mark II, so the left image is the current EOS R8 body for family context — not a fake Mark II product shot.
