Fujifilm's small interchangeable-lens body with X100-style dials, still current. Launched at $1,399.95 in 2024 (body only). Who it suits: everyday and travel shooters who want 40MP and Fujifilm's film looks in a light body.

HIGHLIGHTS
Why it exists. FUJIFILM North America says the X-T50 was "designed with the similar manual controls and classic camera styling of FUJIFILM X100VI and other X100 Series fixed-lens cameras, but with the flexibility of interchangeable lenses for those who seek added versatility in their everyday carry camera." Its headline control is new: "For the first time on any X Series camera, X-T50 features a dedicated Film Simulation dial", for quick access to Fujifilm's 20 Film Simulation modes.
Fujifilm announced the X-T50 on May 16, 2024 at $1,399.95 body-only in black, charcoal silver or silver, with an XC15-45mm kit at $1,499.95, for June 2024. It puts the 40.2MP back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and X-Processor 5 in a body of about 438 g, with 5-axis in-body stabilization rated at up to 7.0 stops, AI subject detection (animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, trains, insects and drones), 6.2K/30p and 4K/60p video with F-Log2, a 1.84M-dot tilting screen and a pop-up flash.
Our gallery comes from three photographers: Korek Mountain in snow, a college building in Orsk, Doan Creek in Michigan, a dolomite outcrop in Ohio's Mad River Gorge, a suspension footbridge over Kearsley Creek and sycamores in the Olentangy River floodplain. Who should buy it? Anyone who wants the X100VI's look and 40MP sensor with interchangeable lenses. Its limits: a 0.62x finder, one card slot, no built-in headphone jack (a USB-C headphone adapter comes in the box) and the small NP-W126S battery, rated for about 305 shots in Normal mode (CIPA).

Dedicated Film Simulation dial
About 438 g with battery and card
