Two mid-range full-frame hybrids. The R6 Mark III, with a 32.5MP sensor, internal 7K raw and 7K open gate video, launched at $2,799 body only in 2025; the Z6III, with a 24.5MP partially stacked sensor, a 5.76M-dot, 4,000-nit viewfinder and internal 6K/60p raw, launched at $2,499.95 body only in 2024.

Why it exists. This page is for someone choosing between Canon and Nikon's mid-range full-frame bodies who wants to know whether the R6 Mark III's extra resolution and 7K open gate video are worth more than the Z6III's partially stacked sensor, brighter, sharper viewfinder and $300 lower launch price.
