Two rangefinder-style Fujifilm bodies with the same 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor. The X100VI, with a fixed 23mm F2 lens and a hybrid viewfinder, launched at $1,599.95 in 2024; the X-E5, with interchangeable lenses, a Film Simulation dial and an optional XF23mmF2.8 R WR kit lens, launched at $1,699.95 body only in 2025.

Why it exists. This page is for someone choosing between one fixed 35mm-equivalent all-in-one camera and the same sensor with interchangeable lenses. Fujifilm calls the X100VI "photography in its purest form" and the X-E5 "The Refined Classic".
